Accessibility

Effective Date: 12/12/2025

The Work Beneath is committed to creating spaces — both online and in person — that are welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to as many people as possible. Accessibility is an ongoing practice, and we are continually learning, listening, and making improvements.

Our Commitment

We believe that access is a form of care.
We are dedicated to reducing barriers so that artists, audience members, and community participants can engage fully in our events and programming.

Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is part of how we build community.

In-Person Events

The Work Beneath artist talks are held at Wolverine Farm Publick House in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Current accessibility considerations include:

  • Events take place indoors with seating available UPSTAIRS - we are committed to working on this. If accommodations are needed, please reach out.
  • Attendees are welcome to step out, take breaks, or move as needed
  • Conversations may include sensitive or personal topics; self-care is encouraged
  • Notecards are provided for those who prefer to submit questions in writing

We understand that access needs vary and that not all barriers are visible. If there is something that would help you participate more comfortably, we want to know.

Website Accessibility

We aim to make our website accessible and easy to navigate by:

  • Using clear, readable language
  • Organizing content in a logical, scannable way
  • Avoiding unnecessary visual clutter
  • Providing text-based information alongside images whenever possible

We are actively working to improve accessibility as our site evolves.

Ongoing Learning & Improvement

Liz and Stacey have participated in Accessibility and Disability Etiquette Training hosted by Colorado Creative Industries as part of our commitment to doing this work thoughtfully and responsibly.

We recognize that accessibility is not static, and we are committed to continuing education, feedback, and adaptation.

Feedback & Accommodation Requests

Your feedback matters. If you:

  • encounter a barrier on our website
  • have an access need related to an event
  • have suggestions for how we can do better

Please reach out to us. We will do our best to respond promptly and thoughtfully.

A Note on Care

The Work Beneath is a space rooted in vulnerability, listening, and mutual respect. We invite all participants to engage with care for themselves and others, and to honor their own needs during events.
